Prof. Kim graduated from Kyungpook National University, School of Medicine in 2001, and took Ph.D. degree from University of Ulsan in 2008. He worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Dr. Cheng’s laboratory in National Cancer Institute, NIH from 2010 to 2013. He is endocrinologist and associate professor in Division of Endocrinology & Metabolism, Department of Internal Medicine, Asan Medical Center and University of Ulsan College of Medicine. He also has played a role in academic societies such as Korean Endocrine Society, Korean Thyroid Association, and American Thyroid Association. He also serves as a member of the editorial board of Thyroid, Clinical Endocrinology, Annals of Thyroid and Endocrinology & Metabolism. His main interests are clinical and translational research of thyroid cancers and he has published more than 150 articles in various peer-reviewed journal mainly in the field of thyroid cancer.
