Sylvie REMAUD is working as an assistant professor since 2013 at the
National Museum of Natural History (CNRS 7221, Paris). She has a specific
expertise in studying how a neural stem cell can generate two daughter cells
with different identities (neuronal versus glial cell fate). She contributed to
demonstrate that thyroid hormone acts as a neurogenic switch in the young adult
mouse brain. Currently, she is studying how do thyroid hormone regulates the
neuron/glia balance during the early postnatal life and later, in the ageing
mice.
