Davide Komla Ebri, PhD, is currently
Research Associate for the Molecular Endocrinology Laboratory at Imperial
College London. Since 2016 he has been working under the supervision of Prof.
Graham Williams and Prof. Duncan Bassett on basic science projects related to
skeletal biology. The main subjects of his research in London are the genetics
of osteoporosis and osteoarthritis, and the effects of thyroid hormone on bone
establishment and repair. In 2012 he obtained a double master degree in
Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics with full marks jointly from Università
degli Studi di Milano in Italy and Université Denis Diderot in Paris, France.
The research project for his master diploma consisted in the evaluation of the
efficacy of FGFR3 tyrosine kinase inhibitors. This project, supervised by Dr
Laurence Legeai-Mallet, will lead him to achieve a PhD scholarship granted by
Université René Descartes to develop a novel therapeutic approach for
achondroplasia based on Infigratinib administration. In 2016, he successfully
completed his PhD in Genetics in Paris and moved to London.
