Dr Jonathon O. Russell, MD, FACS is an Associate Professor of Head and Neck Endocrine Surgery at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, MD, USA. He is also the Director of The Thyroid Tumor Conference at Johns Hopkins and the Director of Endoscopic and Robotic Thyroid and Parathyroid Surgery. He is also the Chair of the Technology Committee for the Endocrine Section of the American Head and Neck Society. In these capacities, he has encouraged adoption of novel techniques and technologies such as remote access thyroid surgery, radiofrequency ablation of thyroid nodules, and parathyroid autofluourescence imaging. His research focuses on implementing and measuring the application of innovation to improve patient outcomes.
